Quick Answer
Hiring aerial artists for a corporate event in the UK costs £500–£2,000 per performance depending on the act type, rigging requirements, and number of performers. Aerial acts — including aerial silk, aerial hoop, and aerial straps — require a minimum ceiling height of 6–8 metres and a certified rigging point capable of holding the performer's weight load. Venue sign-off on rigging is mandatory before any aerial performance can take place. All professional aerial artists should carry a minimum £5m public liability insurance certificate.
Aerial Acts for Corporate Events
Aerial performances are among the most visually striking entertainment options available for corporate events. An aerial silk act performed above the dinner tables at a gala event creates a moment guests talk about long after the evening ends. But aerial acts require more venue planning than any other entertainment format — the technical requirements are non-negotiable.
Types of Aerial Act
- Aerial silk (tissu) — the most visually dramatic, requires 6–8m ceiling minimum
- Aerial hoop (lyra) — circular steel hoop, slightly lower ceiling requirement than silk
- Aerial straps — strength-focused act, powerful and elegant
- Aerial cube or chandelier — structural apparatus, multiple performers, premium option for large events
- Static trapeze — lower ceiling requirement than dynamic aerial acts
Venue Requirements — Non-Negotiable
- Minimum ceiling height: 6m for most aerial acts, 8m+ for full silk performances
- Certified rigging point — must be signed off by the venue structural engineer
- Clear performance area beneath the rigging point — no guests, cables, or furniture
- Load-in access for rigging equipment
- Confirm all venue requirements with the performer before booking
Rate Guide
- Single aerial performer, 1 x 15-minute set: £500–£900
- Single performer, 2 x 15-minute sets: £700–£1,200
- Two performers, multiple sets: £1,200–£2,500
- Custom aerial installation for large events: £2,000–£5,000+
