How We Protect Users
At AnyGig, our goal is simple: to make booking and working in live entertainment safer, clearer, and more professional — for both performers and hirers.
Live events involve people, timing, and money. Things can go wrong if they're informal or rushed. That's why AnyGig puts clear structures in place to reduce risk and remove uncertainty.
AnyGig protects both hirers and performers through three core mechanisms. First, every performer listed on AnyGig has their public liability insurance verified and displayed on their profile — hirers can confirm coverage before booking. Second, when a booking is confirmed, a contract is generated automatically by the platform, locking in performance details, cancellation terms, and payment conditions agreed by both parties. Third, the hirer's payment is held in escrow and only released to the performer after the event has taken place. If a performer cancels, the hirer receives a full refund. If a hirer cancels within the agreed cancellation window, the performer is protected by the cancellation terms in their contract. AnyGig's 5% service fee is charged to the hirer only — performers are never charged a commission on their earnings.
Here's how we protect everyone who uses the platform.

How Does AnyGig Protect Users?
AnyGig protects both hirers and performers through a combination of escrow payment, automatic contracts, verified compliance documentation, and dispute resolution. Hirers are protected by escrow — their payment is held securely and only released to the performer after the event is confirmed complete. Performers are protected by escrow — their full quoted fee is secured before they travel to the event, eliminating the risk of non-payment. Every booking includes an automatic digital contract, verified PLI insurance, and identity verification on all performers.
Escrow Payment Protection
When a hirer confirms a booking on AnyGig, the full performer fee is paid into a Stripe escrow account — not directly to the performer. The funds are held securely until 24 hours after the event is confirmed complete, at which point they are released automatically to the performer. If a dispute is raised, the funds remain held in escrow until the dispute is resolved through AnyGig's dispute resolution process.
This protects hirers from paying for a performance that does not take place, and protects performers from clients who refuse to pay after the event.
Automatic Digital Contracts
Every AnyGig booking generates a digital contract automatically — covering performance terms, cancellation schedule, payment conditions, and dispute resolution rights. Neither the hirer nor the performer needs to draft or negotiate contract terms. The contract is generated at booking confirmation and is legally binding on both parties. This eliminates the most common source of entertainment booking disputes — the absence of a written agreement.
Performer Compliance Verification
All performers on AnyGig are identity verified before their profile is approved. Public Liability Insurance (PLI) certificates are verified and displayed on performer profiles — hirers can confirm PLI status before booking. DBS check documentation is verified for performers working with children or vulnerable adults. IR35 Status Determination Statements are generated automatically for corporate bookings, protecting hirers from employment tax liability.
Dispute Resolution
If a dispute arises between a hirer and a performer — over cancellation, performance delivery, or payment — AnyGig's dispute resolution process manages the outcome. Escrow funds remain held during the dispute period. AnyGig reviews the contract terms, communications, and evidence from both parties and determines the appropriate fund release. Neither party can unilaterally access the escrow funds during an active dispute.
What AnyGig Does Not Cover
AnyGig's protection applies to bookings made through the platform. Arrangements made outside the platform — direct bank transfers agreed verbally, bookings made before a contract is generated — are not covered by escrow or dispute resolution. AnyGig strongly recommends completing all booking stages through the platform to ensure full protection on both sides.
Every booking is protected — for hirers and performers
Escrow payment, automatic contracts, and verified compliance on every AnyGig booking.
Start HiringClear Bookings, No Grey Areas
Every booking on AnyGig is recorded with:
- agreed services
- event date and time
- booking window
- fee breakdown
This avoids misunderstandings and gives both sides a shared reference point if questions arise later.
No screenshots. No "we said on WhatsApp".
Secure Payments Through Trusted Providers
Payments made on AnyGig are processed by regulated third-party payment providers (such as Stripe).
For certain bookings, payments are authorised and held securely by the payment processor until the booking is complete. AnyGig does not hold or control user funds.
This protects:
- performers from late or missing payment
- hirers from paying for services that are never delivered
Fair Cancellation Rules, Set in Advance
Live performance is date-specific. Once a date is held, it's often impossible to replace.
That's why AnyGig applies clear cancellation rules that:
- are shown before payment
- are accepted at checkout
- balance fairness for both sides
There are no surprise deductions and no decisions made after the event.
Protection If a Performer Doesn't Show
If a performer fails to attend or delivers no performance at all:
- the performance fee is refunded
- AnyGig platform fees are also refunded
- the issue is reviewed and action may be taken on the account
You are never required to pay for a service that is not delivered.
Objective Dispute Handling (No Subjective Judgement)
Disputes on AnyGig are handled using clear, objective rules.
We don't judge:
- artistic quality
- personal taste
- audience reaction
We look only at verifiable issues like attendance, delivery, and payment accuracy — and we apply the same rules every time.
No Hidden Relationships or Conflicts
AnyGig is a platform, not an agency.
- We don't employ performers
- We don't supply staff
- We don't take commissions from performers
- We don't influence who you book
Performers keep 100% of their agreed fee.
Our platform fees are paid by hirers and shown clearly in advance.
Account Controls & Bad-Actor Protection
To keep the platform safe, we:
- require verified accounts
- track repeated no-shows or abuse
- restrict or remove users who misuse the platform
This protects reliable performers and serious hirers from bad-faith behaviour.
Privacy & Data Protection
We only collect the data needed to:
- run the platform
- process bookings and payments
- comply with legal obligations
We don't sell personal data, and we don't store full card details.
Payment data is handled by specialist payment providers.
Clear Policies, Always Visible
All of our rules are published openly:
- Terms of Service
- Cancellation & Refund Policy
- Payment Holding & Release Policy
- Dispute Resolution Policy
- Acceptable Use Policy
Nothing is hidden. Nothing changes after the fact.
Built From Real Industry Experience
AnyGig was designed around the real problems people face in live events:
- late payment
- last-minute cancellations
- unclear agreements
- awkward disputes
The platform exists to remove friction — not create it.
